Welcome!
I am glad you have chosen to stop by our website and learn about the great things happening at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church.
We have a saying around here; a mission statement, in fact: That all may come!
We all come from different places in life; we all have different stories about who we are, what has shaped us, and hopes and dreams for the future. We are liberal and conservative. We are Republicans, Libertarians, Democrats, and everything in between. We are men and women, straight and gay. We don't always agree on politics, social policies, or cultural beliefs and practices. BUT, we are each unique human beings and Children of God all the same.
Regardless of what others say about you or what that voice inside of you says; we say together: You are a loved Child of God. And here, among us, you are welcome just as you are.
We believe God calls each of us to live out the Good News of Jesus Christ in this world. God has given each of us different gifts to use in our daily lives as we live out God's promises in Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Spirit of God is at work in the world making the Kingdom of God a reality in our midst. We believe that God calls us to join in this work for the sake of the whole world.
We live in a world of brokenness. Here, in our small corner of the world, together we live out God's promise of healing and forgiveness. We invite you to join us.
So, take a look around. Come on out on a Sunday morning. You will be welcomed among us. And, perhaps, you will find the Church you've been looking for; a church where the Spirit of God is alive in the midst of the people, working together to make known God's love for all of creation.
We hope to see you soon,
Pastor JonPaul Dragseth
