Funeral Resources
Thank you for choosing Pleasant Valley to walk with you through this difficult time of grief. It is an honor to help you celebrate the life of your loved one and commend them to God.
We are currently calling a Pastor, but can help the family arrange for one or they can contact one on their own.
As you prepare for the funeral, here are some resources to help you.
Times:
At Pleasant Valley, we offer the following times for funerals:
Monday - Friday:
Saturday: Any time
Sunday: after 12:00 noon.
Food:
The church is willing to provide workers to serve a buffet style meal. Coffee, water and lemonade will be provided by the church. Food is the responsibility of the family. There are several restaurants nearby that do a wonderful job catering.

Worship:
As you think about the service, here are some things to consider:
1. Would you like to have communion?
2. Do you have any friends/family members that would like to speak or offer special music?
3. Do you have friends/family members who would be willing to read scripture?
4. Do you have any specific Bible passages you would like read? If you would like some ideas, click HERE.
5. Do you have any specific hymns you would like to sing? At Pleasant Valley, we use the ELW. An online index of hymns can be found HERE to help you as you think about what hymns you would like sung. Of course, if there is something you want that is not found in our hymnal, we will be sure to find it and have it printed for you.
